Welcome to Rotarians planning to visit New Zealand to share the enjoyment of rugby at the world cup in September and October 2011.

How it works

New Zealand Rotarians offer a home hosting programme for to make your stay interesting and affordable. You are invited to be accommodated with local Rotarians on a bed and breakfast basis, not only in cities where games are being played, but also around the country to see more of New Zealand.

The concept of Rotarians hosting Rotarians will be fun for all concerned and all funds raised will be donated to The Rotary Foundations Polio Plus campaign to rid the world of Polio.

The price of accommodation is NZ$150 per night. $50 will passed on by us to your host to defray expenses. All of the additional funds raised will be passed on to the Polio Plus program and credited as contributions from the Rotary Clubs involved as follows. One third in the name of your Rotary club, and the remainder in the name of the host and organising clubs.

Getting started

Have a read through the web site and if this is for you then you will need to register prior to being able to make a booking. A confirmation of your registration will be emailed to you. Following this you can login and commence your bookings.

All payments are made by Paypal. If you are not familiar with this then click here.

Accommodation is not confirmed or committed by us until you have made payment.

Once a booking is paid is paid you will receive initial confirmation from a Rotary coordinator for each venue, and closer to the time of your arrival, details of your hosts, how to find them and other items of local knowledge or interest.

A few points to note:

• We are unable to arrange any match game tickets so you will have to make these arrangements separately. http://tickets.rugbyworldcup.com/
• If you are travelling in a group, up to four can book together. If your party is larger than four we will endeavour to accommodate your group with a nearby host. Please note travelling companions in the notes field on the booking form.
• You do not have to book all your accommodation at one time and you can make part bookings and payments as you finalise your plans.
• We ask that if you have any extra needs or requirements that you let us know so we can ensure we met everyone’s expectations.
